The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and which services you request.

Information you provide directly

• Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and preferred method of contact.
• Student and enrollment information, such as the student’s name, date of birth, parent or guardian information, course selection, location, schedule, attendance, completion status, and information needed to provide driver education, testing, or behind-the-wheel services.
• Driver-related information, when needed to provide services or meet legal and regulatory requirements, such as permit or driver-license information, eligibility information, required logs or forms, test results, and records of services completed.
• Transaction information, such as services purchased, payment status, refunds, discounts, and billing details. Payment-card information is generally submitted directly to our payment processor rather than stored by us.
• Communications and request information, including emails, text messages, calls, support requests, survey responses, reviews, and information you choose to submit through forms.
• Job-application or employment information when you apply for or work with WSDI. Employment-related information may be governed by separate notices or policies.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website or use online services, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

• Device and browser information, including IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and general device settings.
• Website activity, including pages viewed, links selected, referring pages, dates and times of visits, and interactions with website features.
• Approximate location derived from an IP address. We do not use the website to collect precise GPS location unless a feature clearly asks for it and you choose to provide it.

We may receive information from a parent or guardian, a student, our scheduling and course-management providers, payment processors, testing or curriculum partners, referral sources, public records, and other parties involved in delivering requested services. We may combine this information with information we already maintain.

2. How We Use Personal Information

• Provide, schedule, administer, and improve classes, testing, behind-the-wheel instruction, and related services.
• Create and manage registrations, accounts, student records, appointments, payments, and customer-service requests.
• Communicate about enrollments, appointments, schedule changes, closures, balances, program requirements, safety matters, and service updates.
• Send marketing communications where permitted by law and consistent with your choices.
• Operate, maintain, personalize, analyze, and secure our website, systems, vehicles, offices, and business operations.
• Prevent fraud, misuse, safety incidents, and security threats; enforce our terms and policies; and protect WSDI, our students, employees, and the public.
• Comply with laws, regulations, court orders, audits, record-keeping duties, licensing requirements, and requests from government or law-enforcement authorities.

Browser-based opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, will be processed where required by applicable law and supported by our systems.

We may contact you by email, telephone, or text message for service-related purposes, including registration, appointment, testing, payment, closure, and safety communications. With appropriate consent, we may also send promotional communications.

• You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us.
• You may opt out of recurring marketing text messages by replying STOP or by clearly telling us that you no longer wish to receive them. We will honor valid opt-out requests as required by law.
• Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending non-marketing communications that are necessary to provide requested services or manage an existing transaction.

Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. Some state privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly enough to include certain disclosures involving advertising or analytics technologies. If we engage in activity covered by those definitions, eligible consumers may opt out as described in Section 9. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under 16 for targeted advertising.

6. Payment Processing and Service Providers

Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors. We generally receive confirmation, transaction identifiers, payment status, and limited billing details, but not the full payment-card number. Payment processors handle card information under their own privacy notices and security obligations.

We currently use or may use providers such as HubSpot for customer communications and business operations and Authorize.net or other processors for payments. Provider relationships can change over time. Their handling of information is governed by their agreements with us and, where they act independently, by their own privacy policies.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and student records, satisfy legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and protect our rights. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the service involved, legal requirements, and operational needs. When information is no longer needed, we may delete, de-identify, or securely destroy it, subject to backup and archival practices.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include access controls, vendor management, secure payment processing, system monitoring, employee training, and other measures appropriate to the nature of the information. No website, network, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to WSDI, you may have the right to:

• Confirm whether we process your personal information and access information we maintain about you.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal and operational exceptions.

Submitting a request

To submit a privacy request, email info@wsdidrive.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” or write to the address listed at the beginning of this policy. Describe the request and identify the state in which you reside. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and may verify the request directly with the consumer.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may deny or limit a request when an exception applies, such as when information must be retained to complete a transaction, comply with law, maintain required student or business records, protect security, or establish or defend legal claims. Instructions for appealing a denied request will be included in our response when an appeal right applies.

Colorado residents

To the extent the Colorado Privacy Act applies to WSDI’s processing, Colorado residents may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal data and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Colorado law may also require covered businesses to recognize approved universal opt-out mechanisms.

California residents

To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to WSDI, California residents may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service and pricing when exercising their rights. This section does not represent that WSDI currently meets the law’s applicability thresholds.

10. Children and Teen Students

Our driving-school services are often provided to teen students. A parent or legal guardian may enroll a minor and provide information on the minor’s behalf. We use student information to provide requested education, testing, scheduling, safety, and record-keeping services.

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from a child under 13 without appropriate parental involvement or other lawful authorization. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

11. Processing in the United States

WSDI is based in Colorado, and personal information may be processed and stored in the United States by us and our service providers. If you access our services from another jurisdiction, your information may be transferred to locations with different data-protection laws.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may link to third-party websites, platforms, maps, social-media pages, payment pages, or other services. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their privacy, security, or content. Review the privacy notice of any third-party service you use.
